Emergency!!!!

I am watching the kids this morning in some center time and I have been blown away by a group of kids.

Some of them have decided that they are EMT's and other emergency personnel. 

One of the boys tells what the emergency is and where they need to go and what they need to do....  and the other will spring into action.  They are planning what to do and when... how to be safe..... and what should happen.  Some are the accident victims, others are helping. 


I am so proud of them.  They are all using imagination, problem solving and safety lessons. 

These are some of the "emergencies" they have already dealt with:

• A car accident off the 303.
• A person fell off a building. (They told the victim to lay still.)
• A car fire. (Water bottle fire "extinguishers were used.)
• A fire in the kindergarten kitchen.  (Started in the BBQ they tell me.)
• Had to use a saw to cut open a car that was squished. (I didn't know the plastic chain saw could do that!)

I love to see them work together and create magic.  And this is magic!
